MEET ANNOUCEMENTS

            We have two upcoming meets that were not originally on the club Meet schedule.  These meets will happen on the same weekend and will allow the majority of swimmers in the club to experience a Travel Meet.  There is also information about the East Coast Championships – Long Course in NFLD.

            Both of these meets will be the major focus for swimmers starting next week.  The Swim PEI Provincials will be the weekend following these meets and we would hope to

QUEBEC CITY INVITATIONAL MEET

May 27^th-30^th

Quebec City, Quebec

Swimmers will need to achieve Quebec Provincial Times to attend

We will travel and stay as a team for this meet.  Chaperones will be needed.

We will use a motor coach to travel to the meet.

Estimated Costs: $350 dollars payable April 15^th

**Families must pay for this meet in advance to ensure a successful meet

The costs include transportation, meet fees, coaching expenses and accommodations (average 4 swimmers per room).

If you choose to travel to the meet on your own and arrange for your own accomadations you will still be required to pay for coaching expenses which will be approximately $50 dollars per swimmer plus meet fees.  A fee of $100 dollars will be required by April 15^th to cover the costs.

Nova Scotia Junior Provincials

May 28^th-30^th

Antigonish, Nova Scotia

Swimmers without East Coast Championships times can attend.

Families will travel to this meet on their own.  A room block will likely be arranged.

Cost: $30 dollar flat fee + Coaching Expenses

EAST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS – LONG COURSE

July 2^nd – 4^th

St. John’s NFLD

The club will be asking for intent to attend from families by May 1^st.  Transportation to this meet will be costly.  A plan will be developed in coming weeks to see best case scenario for team.
