Tale of Two Cities
The Bluephins were back in the pool this weekend only five days after competing in Sackville, NB. It was a tale of Two Cities for the team. In Sackville some of the team struggled to find its feel for the water. in Summerside the whole team stepped up its game and dominated the competition. "From the first race I knew we were going to have a great meet. The swimmers had a little extra zip in their strokes and seemed much more ready to race", commented Head Coach William Calhoun.
Over 125 swimmers from four teams were in attendance for the three day competition; Moncton (CNBO), UPEI Panthers, Summerside Dolphins (SDSC) and our Charlottetown Bluephins (CBAC). This annual event is a great way for local swimmers to test their preparation and to get valuable experience swimming Prelims and Finals.
"I was very proud of the way our team competed this weekend. As a unit the swimmers had more intensity, focus and determination in their races which helped bring down their lifetime best times", said William Calhoun.
